Rabbi Yaakov & Dena Brody are devoted with heart and soul to The Shul and to serving the community. They bring the all welcoming warmth of Chabad to Deerfield Illinois.
Rabbi Brody grew up in Miami Beach, Florida and spent nine years studying at rabbinical colleges in Los Angeles, Miami, Sydney Australia and New York. He received Rabbinical Ordination from Yeshivah College in Sydney, Australia. He also serves as a school rabbi at Cheder Lubavitch Hebrew Day School in Skokie, IL and teaches the 8th grade graduating class.
Dena grew up in Brookyln, New York and graduated from the highly acclaimed Beis Rivkah educational institution. She advanced her studies
at Beis Chana Seminary in Sefed, Israel for two years while serving as a guidance counselor at the seminary. She went on to receive a degree in Psychology from Thomas Edison State University while becoming a master teacher at her alma mater Beis Rivkah, Brooklyn. She directs Jkidz Hebrew School which has become the highlight of her students week!
